Again we have had another busy week up here in Yarramalong. The children returned after the four day weekend full of exciting stories about where they had been and what they had done. The biggest conversation point was about how many Easter Eggs they had found. The Easter Bunny made a visit to our classrooms leaving a little surprise for all of the children and the teachers.
Mr Richards, our Junior School Chaplain came to visit on Tuesday and spoke of the importance of Easter. It is a time to think about Jesus. The children took part in some lovely Easter activities and reflecting upon The Bible.
Wednesday saw us travel down to Hornsby. The children had a great time. They were involved in athletic trials with Mr Cameron and Mr Olijnyk, swimming skills with the Barker swimming staff and watched a performance by Koori Konnections. A very busy day.
During the day, Ms Brown and I took part in some professional development. The day was planned around Jolly Phonics. Jolly Phonics is a program that we are looking at incorporating into our literacy program.
