We welcomed Michele Studd to our campus on Monday and Tuesday to commence our assessment of student learning needs. The children really enjoyed having a new face around our School. We also held our first ever Talent Quest. Each of the children made a small group and had to demonstrate an act or talent to our school. We had singers, dancers, Lego construction show and even magicians.
During the week we had a little visit from Steven. Steven is our resident Eastern Brown Snake who enjoys having a bad reputation. We used the opportunity to educate the students on snake safety. On Thursday, we had a visit from Mr Heath for assembly. The children were over the moon with the special guest appearance. Mr Heath took some time with the children to read them a story. The book was called Tom Tom, an Aboriginal story that spoke of the importance of family.
We are really looking forward to travelling back down to Barker next week. We will again spend time in a swimming program, at the library and visiting our new friends.
