On Wednesday July 29, Darkinjung Barker students returned to the Hornsby Campus for their fortnightly visit.
During the morning the students participated in a creative drama workshop with Year 10 students. The workshop featured drama games to help build the students’ confidence and to get to know one another better. The next challenge was to create short performances in groups about food!
Everyone had a unique story about food and these stories according to Barker’s Head of Drama, Pia Midgely “were very entertaining!”
A few students then moved on to play basketball on the new Rosewood courts and finished the day off with a swimming session.
After basketball, a music session was held which involved the students learning to play the guitar and the djembe as well as learning to read music.
